However, it turned out to be the best time as I needed to step back and learn how to look after everything that is dear to my heart.

When I started counseling with Lila I was at a really low point in my life. I didn't know how to process my emotions in a healthy way so instead I just shut down. I was angry all the time, frustrated, and wanted to give up. One thing I really liked about Lila was that she gave me homework every week to work on what we discussed in our sessions.
After going to counselling consistently and doing the homework each week I started to notice a difference in me. I learned how to have positive self-talk, how to change my beliefs from disempowering and empowering, and how to apply the tools I learned in counselling to my everyday life. I am much more empowered, positive, and hopeful for the future thanks to Lila.
